I’m looking forward to popping along to Thorngate Halls this Saturday with my children to see a group of Gosport performers.

Thorngate pantomime and variety group have been running for more than 30 years in the Thorngate Theatre in Bury Road.

They have performed many variety shows, including the swinging sixties, and pantomimes including Aladdin, Cinderella and Goldilocks and The Three Bears.

This Saturday the Thorngate Theatre throws its doors open again to the public as Thorngate pantomime and variety group perform Mother Goose.

Janet Pearse is the PR and social secretary for the group as has been for a while now, due to having bad knees.

She would love to be on the stage with her friends but is happy to work for the 30 performers who make up the group.
