WITH summer officially over, a painting group is getting ready to capture winter landscapes.

The Rowland’s Castle Painting Society meets each Tuesday at the Parish Hall.

The new term begins tomorrow afternoon with a workshop given by Barbara Woods, followed by a demonstration in acrylics by Chris Jones.

Mr Jones is a well known artist whose work has appeared on television art programmes.

The first life and model drawing session is on October 18.

The sessions will be held every fortnight from 2pm to 4pm.

Every other Tuesday there will be a workshop from 2pm to 4pm where members can learn and expand their skills. In the evening there are professional demonstrations and on October 25, Heather Jolliffe will be demonstrating painting wildlife in a landscape.

New members are welcome regardless of ability.
