Not much time left to take part in Moonlit Memories charity trek

Winchester jail put in special measures

Have your say

TIME is running out to register for this year’s Moonlit Memories Walk.

The annual event, now in its fifth year, helps raise money for The Rowans Hospice.

This year’s walk takes place on June 16.

But in order to take part people need to register by this Friday.

Ruth White, chief executive of the hospice, said: ‘There really isn’t long left now for people to sign up, so if you’ve been thinking about it now’s the time to get in touch.

‘People always say how special the walk really is and I’m urging more people to be apart of it.’

So far 1,174 people have signed up.

To mark the anniversary of the walk, the minimum age limit has been dropped to 13 years old, so more families can take part.

A shorter five-mile course has also been introduced.

But time is running out – people cannot register on the night and need to enter by June 8.
