Man arrested in Portsmouth explosives probe at Stanhope Road student block is released by police

THREE horses and a foal managed to escape from a field and ended up on a road.

Police officers from Waterlooville were called to locate three Shire horses and a foal in Crookhorn Lane.

The call came in at 8.55pm from several people, who had spotted the animals roaming around in the streets.

Officers managed to bring the horses under control and contacted the owner, who collected them.

They had escaped from a nearby field and were not harmed.
