MOTORISTS faced delays this morning after two vans collided into each other causing oil to spill on part of the M27.

Hampshire police said a white Peugoet van and a Renault van hit each other on the outside lane of the M27, where it becomes four lanes, between junction 12 for Portsmouth and junction 11 for Fareham, westbound.

It meant the lane was closed as the oil was cleared.

The incident happened at 6.55am but drivers faced delays for a couple of hours following on from it.

No one was injured.
