LETTER OF THE DAY: Commercial Road needs a makeover

Have your say

WHICH animal would win in a 100-metre sprint race? Or what about a long jump?

Families are being invited to take part in an Olympic-themed animal discovery day in Gosport this week.

The Search Museum, in Clarence Road, pictured, is holding the event on Saturday from 11am until 3am.

Youngsters can explore the achievements of the animal world with hands-on activities. They can get up close with some live animals, make a set of top trumps cards and see how far they can jump. Entry is free.

The event is suitable for people of all ages but children must be accompanied by an adult.

It is being held to mark the upcoming Olympics and National Science and Engineering Week, a chance for people to see science, technology and engineering up close at over 1,000 events until March 18.
