HUGE Olympic graphics are being put up around Portsmouth’s Civic Offices.

The logos are being put up across the Guildhall Square building’s windows in preparation for this year’s games.

They will join temporary hoardings and colourful banners already put up around the city and will stay in place until September 30.

The city council has received £25,000 from the Greater London Authority to promote the games and have also decorated The Hard, Portsmouth International Port and the Stanhope Road car park.

Chairman of the Portsmouth Cultural Partnership Steve Pitt said he thought the logos were a great idea.

‘It is exactly the sort of thing we should be doing,’ he said.
