Over the past 12 months, hundreds of residents have been vying to take the best photographs and impress an independent group of judges.

The panel consisted of images editor for The News, Sarah Standing, Emsworth Business Association chairman, John Tweddell, chairwoman of the Emsworth Arts Trail, Carol Price, committee member, Zak Kara and Emsworth Business Association chairman John Tweddell,

John said: ‘It was a real joy judging all the marvellous photographs that came in each month to the calendar competition. The standard reached by many of the photographs was exceptionally high, and all of the judges found it difficult to pick one to represent Emsworth for each particular month. I think we will all miss the monthly deliberations and discussions that were needed to decide which photograph would be the overall winner.’

Each month the group selects a winning entry to be represented in the calendar. The winners also receive a bottle of Hambledon Classic Curvée.
