A month of magic, mayhem, sparkly wands and big fun

Since Steve Canavan became a father his cat, Percival, has embarked on a killing spree - and Steve's ended up with bubonic plague

Pantomime time officially starts for me today, with the opening of Aladdin tonight at the Kings Theatre in Southsea, whilst on Friday Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs kicks off at the fabulous Ferneham Hall in Fareham.

It’s a month of magic and mayhem, sparkly wands and lots of fun.

The best part for me is seeing the joy and excitement etched on children’s faces.

I’ll be dividing myself between the two venues as well as a stint up in London, stewarding at Olympia’s Horse of The Year show.

It’s something I’ve always dreamed of doing and so was delighted when I was chosen.

Come Christmas Day, though, I imagine that the only thing I will be wanting to do is curl up and have a big sleep.
