As a child I’d always make new year resolutions. They’d be simple ones like keeping my room tidy and to stop picking my nose.
As an adult I’m a firm believer in setting yourself goals, so the start of a new year is always a great place to begin.
Here goes. After the gorging at Christmas, yes I want to lose weight and improve my fitness.
So today I publicly set myself a goal to take part in this year’s Great South Run.
There it is, I’ve said it now. Let the pain begin!
Right now October 2014 seems a long way off, but the training has to start somewhere. So after the Christmas weight gain, when I go for a run I’m giving myself a round of applause!
