The High Street in Gosport stepped back in time last weekend to commemorate 100 years since the outbreak of the First World War.
Under fitting drizzle, vehicles from the time and actors wearing replica uniforms took over the street and Search museum.
I love it when Gosport gets going – there’s such a great community feeling to be enjoyed.
So if you’re stuck for something to do this Saturday and you can’t make it to Havant for the literary festival (did I mention that I’m the festival’s writer-in-residence?), you could pop into Gosport for a ukulele marathon.
Taking place in the Holy Trinity church from 11-5pm, it really promises to be an all-strumming, all-singing wonder.
