BBC should call a few bluffs and save itself some hassle

COMMENT: A great way to inspire and influence new generation

BBC bosses are said to be ‘in a panic’ because presenter Sian Williams has threatened not to uproot her family and move to Salford from where the breakfast show is soon to be produced.

Other nonentities, like Chris Hollins and Louise Minchin, are also digging in their little toes and refusing to budge.

This news has been announced in some quarters with the gloom and foreboding normally associated with matters of national concern.

These are just autocue readers we are talking about; 10-a-penny talking heads who flit in and out of our lives to no lasting effect.

There will be another lot along in a minute – so the BBC should call a few bluffs and save itself a whole lot of hassle.
