Once in a while you hear news of a release that leaves you undecided as to whether it is the most inspired or most pointless recording sessions ever!

Now is that time. William Shatner has posted the tracklist for his forthcoming space-themed covers album.

The LP is titled Searching For Major Tom and will include covers such as Elton John’s Rocket Man, David Bowie’s Space Oddity and Peter Frampton and The Byrds Mr. Spaceman.

Arctic Monkeys have premiered the music video for their new single Don’t Sit Down ’Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair. The track is the first official single to be taken from their upcoming album Suck It And See, released on June 6. The video features distorted footage of the band performing the song, as well as Sheffield Wednesday Football Club match highlights.

Beyonce is planning a string of collaborations for her headline slot at this year’s Glastonbury festival. The Single Ladies star is thought to have recruited husband Jay-Z and friend Kanye West to appear on stage with her and it has also been suggested that showbiz couple Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow could take to the stage with Beyonce on June 26.
