Bumping into hunky Hugh at Gunwharf is a great spin-off

Child refugees: more cash is needed from the government

COMMENT: Government needs to dig deep to find extra cash

Have your say

This week I got to write a story about a film star, because apparently Tom Cruise came to Portsmouth last year to have a look around for film locations.

Now I know there are a lot of people out there who’ll say ‘so what’?

But, actually, films and their associated production circus is big business and helps our economy no end.

Not to mention that when you can bump into such megastars as my next husband, otherwise known as Hugh Jackman, having a burger in Jamie’s Italian at Gunwharf during filming in the city for new movie blockbuster Les Miserables, it’s pretty fun.

These people – though they are only human – give us something exciting to talk about.

Well I think so anyway.
