Happy December Chipsters! Just 23 days to go until, sssshhhh, you know what.

I bet you are all incredibly excited about which presents you will find under your tree or at the foot of your bed when you wake up on Christmas morning.

Of course, I already know one of my gifts, and it is probably the one I’ll treasure most – my new lead made from all the lengths of loom bands you kindly sent me.

I’m spending most of these dark evenings linking them together so on Christmas Day I’ll be the envy of every pooch strolling along the prom at Southsea for my festive amble.

You humans like to show off your Christmas jumpers, but we dogs like nothing better than a colourful new lead. Well, perhaps a big bone would be equally as good.

As I said the other week, this Christmas will be extra special in the Chipper kennel. Why? Because no other than my best friend Winnie the Pooh is coming to stay. And here’s a picture of him coloured beautifully by five-year-old Keira Richardson from Cowplain.

It’s a long time since we spent time together and we’ve got lots planned – like wrestling in the mud, splashing in the stream, playing on the rope swing over the pond and, of course, playing Pooh sticks. That’s a game you can play during your Christmas holidays with a friend. Pick up a couple of twigs, throw them in the water of a fast-flowing stream, choose a finishing line and see which twig gets there first.

Until next week it’s chip chip for now. Chipper.
