CLIVE SMITH: Will we be banned from eating Yorkshire puddings?
The whole row is ridiculous, people of different nationalities have been cooking foods from other countries and cultures for years. That's why there is such a variety of foods about to enjoy.
I'm not a '˜foodie' by any means, but people should be able to enjoy or create foods without being called racist.

Where's the uproar about Uncle Ben's? They've been knocking out curry, Mexican and Mediterranean rice from around the world for years.
Their products carry an image of an African-American man on the front. Should they only be allowed to sell certain products?

Hide AdIt's the Labour MP for Brent Central, Dawn Butler, who started this whole '˜cultural appropriation'Â farce.
She was all over it like a rash. Tweeting about it on the same night three people were shot in another part of Brent.
I'm sure her constituents are pleased she's on top of the real issues affecting the community.
I don't know why's she made this about race, when it's really only about rice.

Jamie Oliver has even had to come out to defend himself. Why though? Was he expected to reach out to the ethnic community with a heart-felt apology? Promising from this day forth to treat all non-English food with the upmost respect.
I always ask permission from my Moroccan neighbours if I'm planning to eat any goat.Â
