Don’t criticise champ Ronnie - he was just being honest

VERITY LUSH: Green shoots of recovery sprouting in northern Portsmouth

Have your say

Snooker player Ronnie O’Sullivan won the World Championship in 2102 and then spent the next year with his feet up watching Homes Under the Hammer.

Then he came back out of retirement and won it again this year.

Basically, he pulled the other players’ pants down.

He was accused of disrespecting the game by saying he was only playing to pay his kid’s school fees.

But I say at least he was being honest.

It was like when footballer Mario Balotelli said: ‘When I score, I don’t celebrate. It’s my job. Does a postman celebrate when he delivers post?’

I’ve never seen my postman run down the garden path, arms in the air, pull off his shirt and throw it into people waiting at the bus stop.
