So, I’ve consumed a ridiculous amount of calories over Christmas and every time I walk into the kitchen there are still more calories waiting to be eaten.

Now, every time I go into the supermarket I see Easter eggs and hot cross buns.

Easter’s not for another three months!

I suppose if people never bought them they wouldn’t sell them. But who wants to buy yet more chocolate when you’ve still got giant Toblerones, Ferrero Rochers, shortbreads and biscuits piled high in the kitchen?

No wonder there’s an obesity problem in this country!

And another thing. Children become so used to seeing these seasonal items on the shelves for months on end that the magic of the occasion becomes lost.
