Fashion is going to the dogs

I was looking for a winter jacket for my friend's dog the other day, although I don't know why.

Because it’s one of the fundamental doggie facts that if you ever see a pooch wearing some sort of winter jacket it’ll never look happy.

It’ll always look really embarrassed about the fact it’s wearing clothes.

Don’t believe me? Then look at the face of the next dog you see wearing one.

This purchase led me into this world of doggie clothes, where I found out that it’s not just waterproof jackets you can buy for a hound.

Here are some of the genuine clothes you can buy for a pet pooch these days: hats, hoodies, T-shirts, dresses, ski jackets, knitted sweaters... it’s the dogs that have these garments I feel really sorry for.

n This is something I need some advice on. If you plan to see a film and have a meal with a partner, which should you do first?

Now, the general consensus seems to be that you should see the film first and then nip for something to eat afterwards, but I’m not so sure this is a good idea.

For starters, if you are hungry in the cinema then your tummy could rumble and embarrassing noises in public are not something you want to be making.

Also, it’s traditional to take a giant cup of Coke into the pictures.

Now, if you have the Coke before your meal you’ll then be too full for your food afterwards.

Also, if you go to watch a gory horror film and then you go for a meal after and are confronted with a plate of saucy ribs, the sight of bones in a blood-like substance is not great.

Finally, If you buy a small handful of sweets while at the cinema, not only might they slightly affect your appetite, but the fact they’ve cost you about 40 quid means you won’t have any money left for the meal anyway.
