We had a last-minute chat about Lent in the office last week. I hadn’t prepareed for it this year, hence the conversation.
I like Lent.
Even if you’re not a practising Christian it’s a nice way to give up something that might be bad for you.
But what to give up?
I’d do alcohol again but I’d rather not.
I don’t really eat chocolate. I’ve given up crisps for the year so doing that’d be cheating.
What’s left? Caffeine? Probably best for everyone’s sake I stay on that. Swearing? Go completely veggie?
Instead of giving up something I’ve decided to do something healthy – try a new exercise or a new fruit or vegetable, just commit to doing something that’s better for me for 40 days and nights.
