From lips to hips, the Café of the Year has been marvellous

Fantastic to hear that one of my favourite eateries has won The News Cafe of the Year award. Donny’s at Stubbington has wormed its way into my heart and stomach over the past two years. The staff have a marvellous can’t-do-enough-for-you attitude and it has the most mouthwatering cakes to hit the lips and the hips.

I get out a fair bit during the week and love to stop off along the way.

Darcy’s at Portchester is another great example.

And you cannot beat the cafe in good old Victoria Park, Portsmouth, for a great tasting cuppa, scenic view and an occasional chat to a squirrel or two.

Cafes are often the hub of the community so it’s fabulous they are being recognised for their hard work.

The award is well deserved.
