Going to store’s like shopping on board the Marie Celeste

It’s important the parade continues – but safely

Have your say

What exactly is going on with the Tesco superstore in Fareham?

On the couple of occasions that I’ve braved the terror of the new roundabout and made it into the store, I’ve been amazed by the lack of people in there.

It’s like shopping on the Marie Celeste – and that’s been at ordinary times, not 2am or such like.

I kid you not, the place is practically deserted.

Maybe people don’t go because they fear the dreaded roundabout (yes I know I go on about it, but it is awful). Or maybe it’s because Fareham is squeezing Tesco out.

Either way, it’s made me wonder how the new store coming soon to Gosport will fare.

Yes, it’ll give people work, but will it work for the people of the town?
