Idropped by the Alzheimer’s Society’s Halloween coffee morning at Fareham Shopping Centre.

I had been enticed inside by volunteer Pat Hewitt.

Appropriately for Halloween, she was in the guise of a rather scary-looking witch.

But luckily for me she turned out to be a good witch.

This meant I didn’t need to click some ruby slippers, or in my case Ugg boots, to get me out of trouble.

I have to admit I couldn’t resist the offer of a coffee and a piece of rather scrummy-looking coffee cake that was on offer for just a quid.

Well done to this support group which raised a marvellous £312.34 with their efforts, all organised by Natalie Bettison.

Look out for them again on December 19 and help this worthy cause.
