Hoping that racketball match won’t end in another prolapse

COMMENT: Bandstand event is a victim of its own success

Have your say

If you’re a regular reader you’ll know I’m a true sportsman. Great South Run, football, squash, cycling, tennis, you name it I’ve done it.

Oh sorry, I seem to have missed out the word ‘failed’ in that list.

But all is not lost – I’ve joined the Alverstoke Tennis Club. Oh yes!

With two trainers including former British No 1 Chris Wilkinson, I cannot fail to improve.

But sadly, after my back prolapse, I’ve decided to play racketball instead. It’s like squash, but with bigger racquets and a larger ball. So slower and ideal for older people.

First game is tonight, so let’s hope I don’t suffer another prolapse!
