I’d love to play his tunes, but we haven’t got a turntable

Have your say

A man turned up at the radio station last Saturday lunchtime with a plastic bag full of vinyl records.

I popped out to see him and he said he had a load of tracks he’d like me to play on my Sunday show called Teenage Kicks.

I play nothing but music from the late 1970s and early 1880s. From New Romantic to ska, goth to new wave, you name it and I play it.

It’s great to see the passion people have for this show as there is nothing else like it out there.

Other stations are too scared to play this kind of stuff. Sadly for the man who popped in, I couldn’t play his records as the station doesn’t have a turntable!

Sign of the times I suppose.
