VERITY LUSH: Spending squillions to point out the blindingly obvious

Have your say

I’ve never been in a volatile relationship, so I don’t really like to pass judgment on someone who has when I have absolutely no idea how it feels.

But I was really surprised this week to learn that Natalie Cassidy (who played Sonia in EastEnders) has taken back her ex-fiance after he was convicted of assaulting her and given a restraining order to keep him away from her.

She has now said how she has forgiven Adam Cottrell and believes that the father of her 17-month-old daughter Eliza can change.

Natalie, who has recently come out of the Celebrity Big Brother house, appeared on This Morning to explain her reasons for the reconciliation.

I really hope for her sake that she’s doing the right thing.
