I’m hoping ketchup will help to protect my lovely grass

Have your say

My lovely grass has been ruined again this summer by our Jack Russell Ruby and her killer wee.

When she does her business, it burns patches of the lawn so badly that it looks like a green and yellow version of Twister.

I’ve tried those special rocks, following her into the garden with a watering can and even allowed her use of the upstairs en-suite, but to no avail.

I have now been told to try tomato ketchup. The acidity apparently lowers the amount of acid in dog’s urine.

So now at dinner time I have a dollop of ketchup on my chips and Ruby has a dollop on her rare steak. Time will tell if it works, but boy is it a dog’s life!
