When Beatrice Bolton was found guilty of owning a dangerous dog and fined £2,500, she did not take the verdict particularly well.
She screamed at the magistrates: 'I'm going! It's a f****** travesty!'
At one stage during the proceedings, she was ordered to remove chewing gum by the court clerk and later insisted she had no money with which to pay the fine and other costs.
Nothing unusual in this, you might think, except that Beatrice Bolton is a circuit judge.
If she has a shred of decency she will resign before she brings the judiciary into even greater disrepute.
