It may be a great ego boost, but it's not going to end well

Some have called it a modern day rom-com - I call it stalking

Danielle Caesar, 22, from New York, chased him relentlessly via social media for FIVE years.

A 22-year-old woman bombarding a celebrity for five years?

Isn’t that the sort of thing teenagers do? Well, I suppose it went it for so long that she was a teenager when she started.

Reading her comments, she doesn’t sound like an obsessed loon. But I reckon you have to be slightly unhinged to carry on like this.

Some have called it a fairytale, a modern day rom-com.

I call it a form of stalking.

The problem is that it will doubtless encourage people to start pursuing celebrities in the vain hope that they may agree to have a relationship with them.

Seriously, who the heck starts a relationship with their stalker?

This whole thing is not going to end well at all.

I can imagine her standing over him every night watching him sleep.

I just hope that if he ever ‘plays away’, then he makes sure the garden shears are well hidden.

I’m sure it’s a great ego boost to have someone worship the ground you walk on. But at the end of the day it’s got to be unhealthy.

That’s nice. But he won’t be saying that down the line when he’s given her the old heave-ho, the fan girl goes all Kathy Bates from Misery and he’s tied to the bed with his legs smashed to bits.

Jake, if for some reason you stumble upon this column and she asks if you fancy a game of ‘hobbling’, then my advice is to just run.
