It’s good riddance to Murray - now let’s remove Lineker

Where better to begin the fight against hate crime?

Have your say

These are happy days for those of us who prefer our football coverage

uncontaminated by laddishness and gobby presenters.

The ineffably irritating Colin Murray is being axed from his role on Match of the Day 2 at the end of the season – which cannot now come quickly enough.

Apparently, pundits who actually know what they’re talking about have become fed up with having to listen to the opinions of someone who doesn’t (ie Murray).

Now, if something could be done to remove Mr Lineker’s smug countenance from the Saturday version of the show, all would be well with the world.

I’m sure we can all survive without the patronising drivel and little in-jokes provided by him, Shearer and Hansen.
