I know I’ve been talking quite a lot about charity challenges recently, but I couldn’t let this week go by without mentioning the wonderful Blue Day.
I may not be employed by The News any more, but Blue Day – and the Tom Prince Cancer Trust charity for whom it raises money – remains important to me.
So much so that when I went to a breakfast meeting in Southampton on Friday I whipped off my jumper before doing a 60-second pitch and addressing 60 or so people in my Pompey top.
Happy to do it, even if it just raised a bit of awareness.
This year marks a decade since Tom died of osteosarcoma and I wish his parents Adele and Clint much success in reaching their £1m target to fund research into the disease.
