It’s time for the fans to put money where our mouths are

COMMENT: The return of good weather shouldn’t bring dread

Have your say

I knew I still cared about Pompey when ex-Saint Matt Le Tissier rose to his feet on the panel of Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports after Southampton’s second goal was allowed in the big local derby.

I almost threw my coffee mug across the room in anger – very unlike me.

Then came the euphoria at David Norris’s stunning equaliser.

So how could we then go down 1-0 to lowly Millwall, ruining all that great work?

It seems ever more likely that Stevenage, Yeovil and Hartlepool will be visiting Fratton Park next season.

I reckon us fans should buy the club ourselves and stop all this boom-and-bust nonsense.

It’s time to put our money where our mouths are.
