Jez: He’s not a chip off the old block where lunch is concerned

Have your say

For some strange reason my 10-year-old son Josh has started to bring home the majority of his packed lunch uneaten.

My wife and I have explained that wasting food is unacceptable behaviour, especially when you consider some people on the planet don’t have any.

It’s normally the sandwiches that return home, so we tell him he’s not allowed any biscuits after school until the sandwiches are consumed.

It would seem my son is not a chip off the old block – when I was at school I would normally munch my way through my lunch during first break time.

This would then leave me with a big problem at 12.30pm when I had to watch all my friends tuck in!
