Kids did a double take when they saw Barney Harwood

COMMENT: All agencies must to held to account for Anne Savidge’s tragic death

Have your say

As our Christmas toy appeal continues, people’s generosity is overwhelming.

It’s hard to believe that 11,000 children in Portsmouth live in poverty. No heating, missing meals and nothing to look forward to on Christmas morning.

But sadly it’s true.

This is where you come in. Toys have flooded in and I’ve even received a cheque from a lovely lady who reads this column and wanted to contribute.

I’ve been hosting my shows out and about with guests coming in.

So far my favourite bit has been watching the faces of children as they walked past Blue Peter presenter Barney Harwood in a supermarket and did a double take!
