Have your say

There’s been more scaremongering in the national news again this week.

This time, apparently our washing machines are making us ill.

Our so-called clean washing is full of harmful germs and a Dr Lisa Ackerley has called for extra awareness.

I must remember to ask for a microscope for my birthday and get the missus to inspect for germs before she hangs washing on the line.

Everything we touch has germs or bacteria. Are we supposed to put our bank notes, mobile phones and the office keyboards in a 90c boil wash once a week?

There’s no getting away from germs, unless you want to bounce down the road in bubble wrap, firing anti- bacterial spray at everything.
