I’m steeling my patience and my finances for the annual back-to-school shop.
I’ve left it later than ever this year as my two eldest will not stop growing – on a daily basis.
I fear that if I bought their clothes earlier in the summer, they’d be wearing shorts and mini-skirts by September instead of trousers and knee-lengths.
But oh, the horror of having to go shopping with the three of them.
The trick of it is to stagger purchases so that each one is kept wanting more (thus in a good temper) while their siblings are sorted out too.
Or, maybe a better trick would be to catch the bus to the shops after having several large glasses of pinot.
Maybe that would ease my rapidly fraying temper?
