Southsea Greenhouse Community Garden has been an amazing project since we opened the gates in 2013.
Starting as a completely overgrown wasteland, hundreds of helpers of all ages have created a glorious garden full of flowers and food.
Volunteers can spend time planting, digging or pottering or crafting.
We welcome people of all ages and abilities.
However, without a regular commitment by our volunteers we can’t open the gates and that means passers-by who love to meander up the path with their children, their dogs and their grandparents can’t get in. Problem.
Smaller beds could be adopted by community groups who might like to grow for a cause and keep that garden gate open.
A monthly community orchard group meets on the first Tuesday of every month.
Head gardener Goff Gleadle will also be running a gardening masterclass for our new volunteers. So why not call us on 07530 913 211 or pop down and help keep us open. southseagreenhouse.co.uk.
