Next time I wash the car, I’m going to use the kitchen soap

The differences between men and women can be summed up in our house by the use of soap in the kitchen.

After a recent refit and repaint, Sarah has added some lovely hand soap and creams. They are nice, with a distinctive ginger smell.

But can I use them after a trip to the downstairs toilet? No. I must use the cheap soap in there.

Plus I’m told that splashes of water make the new sink look messy.

Yet when I then told her how gutted I was to have scratched the alloys on my lovely new car, she couldn’t understand.

‘It’s only a car’ she said.

Next time I wash the car, maybe I should do it using the kitchen soap!A
