As the great education debate rumbles on (has it ever stopped?) concerning just about every variable in the system from content to exams to behaviour, I read with surprise that a teacher had taped up a schoolgirl’s mouth for talking after the class had been asked to be quiet.
Imagine the desperation that led to that action.
Perhaps it’s time that persistently annoying children (as I’m quite sure she must have been for such a massive lapse of judgment to take place) are accompanied to school by their parents, who are then tasked with controlling their unruly behaviour.
If that fails, the parents can then administer suitable learning experiences to help their dear offspring act in an appropriate manner.
