PM’s trendy polo shirt is the kind of posh clobber best left at home

Child refugees: more cash is needed from the government

COMMENT: Government needs to dig deep to find extra cash

Have your say

David Cameron was spotted on holiday in Portugal wearing a new trendy polo shirt costing around £115.

I’m sorry but I’m one of those people who can’t understand why holidaymakers take posh clothes abroad with them on summer holidays.

For one thing, they’re going to be at the mercy of the local moths who will probably be attracted to these new foreign dishes and will start munching away on them as soon as you’ve hung them up.

Then there’s the fact that however much you shower, you just know you’re going to get your posh new clothes stained by sun tan lotion or after sun, or one of the many other lotions and creams that you slap on yourself while on holiday.

Then there’s the fact that if you wear posh clothes you’ll just look overdressed, which means when you go out at night you won’t be able to relax because everyone else will have dressed so casually that you’ll feel all stuffy and straight-laced .

Plus an expensive Savile Row suit looks rubbish when you’re swimming in the hotel pool!
n New research has revealed that half the population hate their jobs so much they think they are in the wrong career.

Now I’m not sure if I believe that’s true.

Because if you think about it, all the people doing the research could be so hacked off with their own job that they make up the findings.
n Just thought I’d ask this... Has anyone in their lives ever actually washed up the bottle opener they keep with all their kitchen utensils?

It’s just not necessary is it? You open the bottle of beer or alcopops with it and put it straight back in the drawer. There’s just no need.

They ought to use that as a selling point – ‘The bottle opener – the kitchen utensil that never has to be washed.’
