Well, what a weekend.
By the time you read this I will have, to paraphrase Jarvis Cocker, mainly spent it standing in a field somewhere in Southsea, enjoying both days of the Victorious Festival.
I’d been looking forward to it for months, having bought my tickets way back in May, and watched astounded as Saturday tickets sold out and a mad scramble ensued for people who still wanted tickets but couldn’t get them.
I’m delighted Portsmouth has once again put on an event to be proud of – from the Southsea Show and the Comedy Festival through to Victorious (and SouthseaFest still to come).
I do hope it’s a sign that Portsmouth is once again rejoining the music world as a place where great bands want to play.
