Uncle Ben makes different kinds of rice.

And yet, Captain Birds Eye deals in fish, chicken and beef, and Colonel 
Sanders makes chicken as well.

So, what is it about aunts and uncles that makes them so attracted to carbohydrates, while people of military rank seem keener to make protein-based foods?

Another thing that has me mystified is the modern garden centre.

I went to one that was selling fridge magnets, kitchen posters, calendars and jelly beans. Why? It’s like going to a sports shop and finding hi-fi equipment.
