Seeing them together took me back to old S Club 7 days

Inquisitor: John Humphrys

ZELLA COMPTON: Why does John Humphrys still have a national platform?

Have your say

I’ve known S Club 7 singer Jon Lee for a few years now, ever since we co-presented a pilot travel programme in Brighton.

He’s one of the loveliest, most down-to-earth celebrities you’ll ever meet and I remember the crew getting rather annoyed at us because we couldn’t stop giggling.

This week I was thrilled for him as he unveiled his debut performance as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys in the West End - a job he’s wanted since he was a nipper.

The industry is so ruthless and difficult that, for most, a dream remains just that. So I’m delighted that Jon’s came true, he really deserves it.

I was also pleased to see that the other S Club members came along to support him. Made me reminisce about the ‘Don’t stop movin’ days.
