It’s great news for the cyclists of Gosport and beyond that there is now a cycle path that runs along Stokes Bay.
It’s not been put along the promenade, as I guess wending its way amongst the pushchairs and seniors taking a stroll would have caused a bit too much difficulty,
But it’s definitely there, with a nice fresh surface, and should cut down a lot of issues when herding children on bikes.
But here’s a question as a car driver. Why aren’t the ‘serious’ cyclists using it?
You know the ones I’m talking about, the Lycra-clad racing bike crew?
The whole point of having a cycle path is to keep cyclists safe, so surely the best way of doing that would be to use the darn thing?
