Sometimes it’s better to fit a little less in to your days

Have your say

It’s amazing what some people try to cram into just one day.

On my travels over the weekend, I saw a man walking down the street reading a book.

Why, I wondered? Did he not have the luxury of a park bench or a deckchair to sit on?

If I’m on my way somewhere, the last thing that crosses my mind is finding out what happens in that next chapter.

You have to be a pretty busy person to decide that something pleasurable – like reading – must be merged with something practical, like walking.

I couldn’t help but think he’d have got where he was going quicker if he’d put the book down.

Then he’d have time to read once he’d arrived.
