Have your say

When I was a kid, the Queen Mother’s occasional bouts of indisposition were something of a mystery to me.

The BBC news always said she was suffering from ‘a chill.’

I remember wondering whether that was more or less serious than a cold – and a cousin came up with the explanation.

‘It’s the same as a cold,’ she told me.

‘But a cold is common and she’s not.

‘So she always catches a chill.’

By the same token, have you noticed that Prince Harry never goes out with a girl? He always has ‘trysts.’

If we’re to believe what we read, he’s been a right little tryster since coming of age.

Just as long as he doesn’t catch a cold.
