I’ve always been interested in art and the quirky creations that people come up with.

Recently I’ve found Devon artist Heather Jansch’s work so inspiring.

She’s always had a love of horses and wanted to be an artist from an early age.

Now she has achieved her dream after developing her own fascinating style using driftwood to create her magnificent models of horses.

She started on smaller models and then moved up to life-sized sculptures.

I really think they are breathtaking and so lifelike.

It gave me an idea. Don’t you think a few of them would look brilliant if erected on Southsea Common?

Come on, let’s consider them as contenders to replace the dinosaur that sadly perished in a fire.
