Another fascinating documentary by Doctor Michael Mosley on BBC2 revealed the truth about exercise.
Remember, Michael was also the man who introduced us to the Fast, or 5:2, diet.
But in summarising the hour-long programme, all I can say is move more and eat less. Sitting on your backside is a killer and a brisk walk a day goes a very long way.
Interestingly though, three 20-second flat-out blasts on an exercise bike four times a week could be more beneficial than three hours of normal cardio activity.
These short bursts make the brain signal to muscles to burn more fat. Clever stuff and right up my street.
Only problem is where to put the new exercise bike!
