Unruly hedge needs a trim – and someone to organise it

COMMENT: University has to prove it offers value for money

Have your say

Could the area’s most unloved hedge be in Gosport’s Priddy’s Hard? I think so.

Along Sealark Road a collection of bushes has been happily growing away for 10 years.

Now they have taken over the pavement and you have to walk on the kerb or in the road to get past.

On calling the council to request a prune, it seems that no-one claims responsibility for this hedge.

In this day and age of everything being contracted out, not one person seems to know who should do it, or more importantly, who is able to do it. The council won’t as it will cost them money.

If someone will kindly lend me a hedge trimmer, I’ll do it myself.
