The £25,000 fine imposed on Blackpool for making 10 changes at Aston Villa is a disgrace.
Clubs had to name 25-man squads this year and Ian Holloway’s side were all on that list.
So what’s the problem?
His job is to keep Blackpool up and deploy players depending on their fitness and energy levels, bearing in mind upcoming fixtures.
It is not as if they threw the Villa match.
They were one minute away from forcing a fine 2-2 draw.
I am yet to hear from anyone who believes this fine is justified and it should be rescinded immediately.
Manchester United left out key players and lost 1-0 at home to West Ham, helping them stay up, on the last day a few seasons back.
They also put out a virtual reserve side at Hull on the final day last season but no-one said a word because they won and Hull got relegated.
One law for the rich, you think?
